XDefiant Ranked Play: All You Need To Know

Prepare to dive into the intense world of XDefiant’s Ranked Play mode, where only the fiercest competitors will thrive. With seven divisions to conquer, a prestigious Top 500 leaderboard, and an array of exclusive cosmetic rewards, the stakes have never been higher. Here’s your ultimate guide to what lies ahead.

The wait is over—Season 1 of XDefiant is upon us. While the allure of new weapons, flamboyant characters, and a shiny Battle Pass beckons, the heart of this season beats within the all-new Ranked Mode. This is where true warriors are forged.

Ranked Mode transforms casual play into a battlefield where every move counts. To ascend the ranks, you must excel in kills, damage, objective control, and, most importantly, victories. The better you perform, the higher your Skill Rating climbs, leading you to face more formidable opponents.

There are seven divisions to master, from Bronze to the coveted Legends. Team up with a squad of four up to the Diamond rank, ensuring no player’s Skill Rating is more than 15 levels apart from the team’s average. Reach Diamond, and you can only queue solo or with one partner.

The Path to Glory

Embark on a journey through seven distinct tiers, each with 10 levels to conquer:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Ruby
  • Emerald
  • Diamond
  • Legends

Reaching the Legends division is a monumental achievement, but the real challenge lies in securing a spot on the Top 500 leaderboard. For Season 1, this elite ranking is shared through developer blog posts, adding an extra layer of prestige.

Game Modes

Ranked Mode launches with four thrilling game types, with more to follow:

  • Occupy
  • Domination
  • Zone Control
  • Escort
  • Capture The Flag (coming soon)

Each mode brings a twist to the familiar gameplay. Occupy now features a predictable zone rotation, allowing strategic foresight. Domination extends playtime with side swaps to ensure balanced competition. Zone Control gives defenders the ability to rewind capture progress, intensifying the struggle for dominance.

Rewards of the Elite

Season 1 offers exclusive rewards that can only be earned through Ranked Mode. These coveted cosmetics include character and weapon skins from the Paintball line. The pinnacle of these rewards? An exclusive, colour-changing weapon skin for those who finish in the Top 500, setting you apart in future battles.

Stay tuned as we bring you the latest updates on the rewards and divisions needed to unlock them when Ranked Mode goes live on 3 July. The battlefield awaits—are you ready to claim your place among the legends?
