Alabaster Dawn Is A New Action-Adventure RPG From The Makers Of CrossCode
By Jonathan ToyadVerified|August 12, 2024|0 Comment
The 2018 top-down action RPG pixel graphics title CrossCode was a beloved-if-tough indie title from developer Radical Fish Games, and is still talked about fondly to this day. So to hear the company announcing a new game is clearly very exciting for a new 2D pixel-based style fantasy title.
The new game the devs are making is called Alabaster Dawn (formerly Project Terra), and it’s looking like a mix between a top-down action-adventure title like CrossCode and a village builder; a 2.5D game to be exact. You play a white-haired woman named Juno and you’re tasked to revive a wasteland named Tiran Sol to its former lush and populated glory.
You do this with the help of a capybara spirit(?) as you fight enemies with combos and parries and all sorts of cool skills you would find in a Devil May Cry character action game (but in 2D). And also solve puzzles in many, many ruins and dungeons while figuring out ways to revive humanity and rebuild villages.
If this sounds like the 90s classic Enix title Terranigma, that’s because Alabaster Dawn is clearly inspired by it, but tailor-made for 2024 and beyond. Alabaster Dawn has no release date on its newly-published Steam page, but we’re guessing it’s slated for a 2025 release or later for PC first.
