Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a Sequel to 2021’s Sci-Fi Survival Game

The Farm 51 has officially revealed the sequel to the 2021 first-person sci-fi survival horror shooter, called Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone. The game is scheduled for release next year.
In Chernobylite 2, players take on the role of a planewalker, someone who can move between parallel realities, as they embark on a quest for the valuable high-energy substance known as Chernobylite. Players will find themselves trapped in the Exclusion Zone, battling terrifying monsters in a sprawling and realistic open world environment overrun by the Chernobylite resource. Survivors in the Zone are using prototype technology to resist and unite against the hostile entities.
One of the exciting features of Chernobylite 2 is the extensive character customization and decision-making. Players will have the freedom to approach various situations in different ways. Additionally, players can opt for combat with melee weapons or firearms, as well as utilize stealth or seek assistance from other players. The planewalking system enables players to switch between different character builds on the go, allowing flexibility in adapting to diverse challenges.
The game will also feature a cast of party members, each of whom is “a potential teacher, ready to impart their knowledge and skills”. Players will need to manage and develop their base, where they can craft essential items, enhance weapons, and allocate tasks to their team to maintain equipment and supplies.
Co-op missions are also made available as well as single-player campaign, catering to both solo and multiplayer preferences. While the official release date is yet to be announced, the game is confirmed for PC via Steam and unspecified consoles in 2025.
