Descenders is Swapping Bikes for Boards in New Ambitious Sequel

No More Robots and RageSquid announced an ambitious follow-up to their 2019 hit sports biking game, titled Descenders Next. This sequel takes a sharp turn from its predecessor by swapping mountain bikes for sports boards.
Building on the massive success of Descenders, the RageSquid team is expanding its horizons to include snow and mountain boarding in the upcoming game. This new focus is expected to introduce a variety of novel trick and route options, providing players with numerous fresh ways to dominate the extreme sports world while enjoying time with friends.
Descenders Next seeks to broaden beyond mountain biking by embracing a range of extreme sports. Initially concentrating on boarding sports like snowboarding and mountainboarding, the game promises unique gameplay experiences with plans to include more sports as it evolves.
Featuring online multiplayer capabilities, this follow-up will include a plethora of tricks and grinds for players to master across various expansive biomes. The game is designed with procedural mountains that seamlessly transition into meticulously designed parks. Additionally, players will engage in various objectives, including races, trick competitions, and scavenger hunts.
No More Robots is currently inviting players to participate in early testing sessions by signing up on the game’s Steam page. Although a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, Descenders Next is expected to launch in the early months of 2025. It will be available on Xbox and PC, including a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass.
