HoYoverse has revealed that Zenless Zone Zero’s urban fantasy ARPG, Version 1.1 “Undercover R&B,” is set to launch on 14 August. This update will delve into new challenges faced by New Eridu Public Security (N.E.P.S.) and unravel the intricate story involving Qingyi, Jane, Seth, and the Mountain Lion Gang. Players can look forward to fresh storylines, new characters, and an immersive new gameplay experience called “Inferno Reap,” featuring battles with Nineveh.

The update opens up the New Eridu Public Security area at Lumina Square for players to explore. Various events, such as Camellia Golden Week, promise abundant rewards for those who delve into the new content.

New Storylines & Characters

In “Undercover R&B,” characters Zhu Yuan, Qingyi, and Seth engage in a strategic battle against the Mountain Lion Gang. The gang consistently evades capture with the aid of the mysterious Jane. As players navigate New Eridu, they will complete missions as Jane and discover her complex history with N.E.P.S.

Qingyi

Qingyi, a new S-Rank Electric Stun character, is now available for players’ squads. Qingyi excels at quickly inflicting Daze to stun enemies and can build up “Flash Connect Voltage” for powerful attacks. She is a valuable ally for Zhu Yuan and brings significant combat support.

Jane

Jane, another central figure in the update, plays a dual role as both friend and foe. As an S-Rank Physical Anomaly Agent, she can unleash rapid, multi-stage attacks by activating “Passion State.” Initially, players will face Jane as an adversary due to her association with the Mountain Lion Gang, highlighting her exceptional combat skills.

Seth

Seth, an A-Rank Electric Defence character, joins the fray with his versatile abilities. He provides shields to teammates and wields a transformable weapon that becomes a large sword for defeating enemies. Additionally, new S-Rank Bangboo “Officer Cui” will support players in the Hollows.

New Gameplay and Events

Version 1.1 introduces “Inferno Reap” to Hollow Zero. After completing the “Withering Garden” stage and related commissions, players can enter a time-limited battle with Nineveh. This challenge can be attempted multiple times, offering a variety of in-game rewards for successful attempts.

The themed event “Camellia Golden Week” provides opportunities to earn Polychromes, A-level W-engine, and other materials by completing event commissions. Players can also enjoy new in-game features like Immersive Tactical Drill, First-Class Customer Service, and enhanced camera functions with filters and selfie options.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.1 “Undercover R&B” will be available on 14 August for PS5, PC, iOS, and Android. Players can explore New Eridu and immerse themselves in the latest adventures and challenges this update brings.
