Hectic Action Game KILL KNIGHT Will Be Out This October; PS4 & Xbox One Versions Added

If you feel the need for speed and kills, the arcade-inspired isometric action shooter KILL KNIGHT from developer PlaySide Studios will sate your bloodlust.

This red neon-coloured and aesthetically dark action shooter turned heads and broke thumbs/fingers with its Steam Next Fest demo months ago. Those looking for a fast-paced challenge will definitely get their hands on the full game when it’s out on 3rd October.

We had about 30 minutes+ with this isometric game, and let me tell you: I haven’t felt this much of a rush dodging enemies and hit-and-running anything that moves while confined in contorting arenas since the Geometry Wars games. Yes, those two games are completely different worlds visually, but the escalating challenge, twitch action, and frenetic arcade-style pacing is what makes them similar.

And Geometry Wars is a helluva game; I do hope KILL KNIGHT takes that top shelf spot in that particular area. If any game deserves the overused game journo word “visceral”, it’s probably this potential indie gem.

KILL KNIGHT will also be out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in addition to the PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5 versions. Check out the release date trailer & features list below:

Features

  • Fast and visceral top-down, push-forward combat that rewards aggression and precision.
  • An immersive otherworld dripping in corrosive atmosphere with a retro-inspired aesthetic.
  • Descend through five fatal layers, each more deadly than the last.
  • Choose your challenge, with three distinct difficulty settings to overcome.
  • Survive long enough to raise your Kill Power, increasing speed and damage.
  • Complete challenges to unlock your Knight’s Arsenal, and evolve your playstyle.
  • Dive into Master Mode, combining all five layers into one extended arena challenge.
  • Ascend the global leaderboards and compete with friends for high-score supremacy.
