Konami Teases Metal Gear Solid 4 Coming In Master Collection Vol. 2
By Alleef Ashaari|August 29, 2024|0 Comment
It looks like Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns Of The Patriots might finally be freed from being stuck on the PS3 and is finally releasing on other current platforms.
In a recent interview with IGN, Konami producer Noriaki Okamura teased Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 and a potential inclusion of Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns Of The Patriots.
Okamura said:
“We definitely are aware of this situation with MGS4. Unfortunately we can’t really say too much at the moment with Vol. 1 containing MGS 1-3 dot dot dot… you can probably connect the dots!
Right now we still are internally concerned about what we should be doing for the future of the series. So sorry, we can’t really reveal anything at the moment. But stay tuned!”
Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns Of The Patriots originally came out for the PS3 in 2008 and has only been available on that platform ever since.
Metal Gear Solid Collection Vol. 1 launched on 24 October 2023 for the PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. It includes Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons Of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater, Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake, and Snake’s Revenge.
In June 2023, we reported that placeholder buttons for Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns Of The Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 5 Ground Zeroes, Metal Gear Solid 5 Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker were discovered on the Metal Gear Solid timeline page on the official Metal Gear Solid website. It pointed to a possible content leak of Master Collection Vol. 2.
At the time of writing, Konami has yet to officially confirm or announce Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2 and its contents.
