Kotobukiya To Boldly Goes Where No Man Has Gone Before With This New Star Trek Figure
By Jonathan Toyad|August 23, 2024|0 Comment
Set phasers to “Stun”, as in stunning-looking when you see how Kotobukiya has beautified the Star Trek brand further with their take on James T. Kirk.
Or rather “Jamie” T. Kirk. Announced recently, Kotobukiya has announced its newest entry in the Star Trek Bishoujo series: the Command Officer Bishoujo (rule 63 Captain Kirk). This blonde statue figure comes with a Type 2 phaser, portable communicator, and a part of Vasquez Rocks as the figure’s base. The statue’s art design is done by Shunya Yamashita.
She comes to life in a pose in battle, giving commands at a landing operation as a Captain-ranked officer. She holds a Type 2 phaser for self-defense in one hand and the newly sculpted gadget, the portable communicator, in the other. Her dignified and reliable appearance somewhat resembles that of Captain Kirk.
Using shapes familiar to fans as one of the show’s well-known shooting sites, Vasquez Rocks, the diorama style base is designed after the fighting scene with the Gorn from original series episode 18 “Arena.”
She will be joining existing Star Trek Bishoujo figure Officer Uhura and Rule 63 Spock who are available in stores right now. If you rather wait for this version of the Star Trek captain, she is available for pre-order now for RM670+. She is expected to ship between April and June 2025.
