Publisher Microids and developer Anomalie Studio have announced an upcoming sci-fi rhythm action-adventure game, Melobot: A Last Song. The game promises an immersive experience showcasing emotional storytelling, stunning environments, musical combat, and much more.
Players take on the role of Melobot, an endearing musical robot tasked with bringing harmony to a post-apocalyptic world plagued by a mysterious dark matter. By using musical instruments, players will work to revive the planet’s silent soul while defending against enigmatic mechanical enemies. The game features intuitive controls designed for both controllers and keyboards, allowing players to interact with the unique music of the Meloplants and aid in curing the planet of a sinister disease.
Its universe draws inspiration from the visual styles of Pixar and Ghibli, offering an array of unique beautiful biomes to discover. Intriguingly, this rhythm game intertwines a compelling narrative where the protagonist’s actions play a major role in shaping the fate of humanity and an entire planetary ecosystem.
Melobot: A Last Song is set to launch on 12 September 2024 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
You can try out the free demo available via Steam.
