Saveseeker Is A Turn-Based RPG with Time-Traveling Twist; Out For 2025

Indie studio Paper Sword Games has announced its upcoming turn-based RPG with time-traveling mechanics, Saveseeker. The game promises bright pixel art world, an engaging narrative, as well as the opportunity to both battle and ally with formidable characters once considered enemies.
You play as Emmer Edette, a young, upbeat girl who learns she possesses her father’s special ability to ‘save’ moments in time at various global locations. She comes to realize her father, formerly celebrated as a hero, misused his powers for evil purposes. Determined to rectify his wrongdoings, Emmer, accompanied by her grumpy dragon toy, Tippleton, sets out to reset the world’s ‘Save Stops’. Her mission leads her to ally with her father’s past opponents in a quest to confront and put an end to his destructive actions.
Saveseeker also offers players the chance to engage in optional minigames, which can unlock equipment and reveal more about the game’s rich backstory. The experience is further enriched by a soundtrack featuring over 30 original soundtracks by composer Dale North, providing a warm and inviting auditory backdrop to the adventure. In battle, Emmer’s ability to manipulate time provides a strategic advantage, allowing for a diverse array of tactics to be employed against her enemies.
“At its heart, Saveseeker blends an engaging story and endearing characters with narratively significant game mechanics,” said Paper Sword Games in a press release. “Players have the chance to explore an RPG world after a famous hero has already traveled through it, and experience all the classic tropes in new deconstructed ways!”
While an exact launch date has yet to be announced, Saveseeker is slated for a release on Steam in Q3 of 2025.
