In a thrilling conclusion to the Snapdragon Mobile Challenge MLBB playoffs, held live over three intense days in Kuala Lumpur, Falcons AP.Bren emerged victorious. The team clinched the championship with a nail-biting 4-3 victory over Team Liquid PH in the Grand Final, marking the end of Season 5 of the MLBB Snapdragon Pro Series. This series, the world’s largest multi-title mobile esports ecosystem, is brought to life by ESL FACEIT Group, Qualcomm Technologies Inc., and MOONTON Games.
With this victory, Falcons AP.Bren secured a prize of US$62,000, while the second-place Team Liquid PH walked away with US$30,000.
“Congratulations to Falcons AP.Bren on their incredible win – the closely-fought Grand Final was a perfect way to end three amazing days of live competition in the Snapdragon Pro Series. Thanks to the thousands of Malaysian fans who attended live, the atmosphere of the Playoffs across the weekend was absolutely electric, creating a memorable setting for us to crown this season’s Champion.”
– Som Nuchapa Trivijitsilp, Senior Product Manager at ESL FACEIT Group
Falcons AP.Bren’s journey to the top was far from easy. After being relegated to the lower bracket by the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 champions, Selangor Red Giants, following a 0-2 defeat in the Upper Bracket Quarter Final, they demonstrated remarkable resilience. They battled through the lower bracket, overcoming Indonesia’s Fnatic ONIC 2-1 and then avenging their earlier defeat by beating Selangor Red Giants 3-1 on Grand Finals day. This set the stage for an all-Philippines showdown in the summit clash, where Falcons AP.Bren ultimately triumphed.
The Snapdragon Mobile Challenge MLBB playoffs not only showcased top-tier competitive gaming but also highlighted the passionate support of the Malaysian esports community, making it an unforgettable event.
