University MLBB Tournament For Malaysian Students Slated For October 2024

Hotlink proudly announces Uni Legends MLBB 2024, its inaugural esports competition featuring Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB). This event is exclusively designed for students from higher education institutions across Malaysia.

Tournament Details & Registration

The Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB tournament is currently open for registration, inviting MLBB enthusiasts and esports gamers to sign up until 19 August. The competition kicks off virtually in September, culminating in a grand finale at UiTM Shah Alam in October. Participants will vie for a grand prize pool of RM100,000.

Rabiras Rajakrishnan, Head of Postpaid at Maxis, expressed his excitement:

“We are thrilled to host Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB for the first time, offering university students in Malaysia a significant exposure to esports. With MLBB’s popularity in Malaysia, we hope this event fosters teamwork, strategy, and wholesome fun among the youth.”

Grand Finale Festival

The tournament’s climax will be a three-day grand finale festival from 18 to 20 October. The top 8 teams will compete for the championship, while attendees can enjoy food bazaars, urban festivals, and music events. This festival is supported by official partners, including gaming partner MOONTON Games, venue sponsor UiTM, and Hotlink Rewards F&B partner ZUS Coffee.

Participation Details

To join the Hotlink Uni Legends MLBB, teams of six are required. Eligible participants must be current students (both Malaysian and international) at any higher education institution in Malaysia, with no age restrictions. For more information and to register, visit hotlink-unilegends.com.

Hotlink’s Uni Legends MLBB tournament is one of many esports initiatives backed by the Malaysian Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kementerian Belia dan Sukan). It is supported by MOONTON Games’ Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia, the country’s most popular and enduring esports league. MPL Malaysia serves as a gateway for players to represent Malaysia in international MLBB tournaments, including the Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 and the upcoming M6 World Championship in December. As the official 5G network sponsor for MPL Malaysia Seasons 13 and 14, Hotlink is committed to enhancing connectivity and accessibility.
