Cozy Post-Apocalyptic Rhythm Game Melobot A Last Song Is Out Now

Publisher Microids and indie team Anomalie Studio have announced that Melobot A Last Song is out now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam.

In this debut game by talented indie team Anomalie Studio, blast off on an innovative sci-fi musical adventure designed for both rhythm game veterans and newcomers alike. You are Melobot, an adorable little robot on a mission to save a post-apocalyptic world. But listen up: a darkness threatens to silence your last song. Can you hear it?

Breathe life into the diseased ecosystems of a mysterious planet through the power of music, listening to the catchy songs of its exotic “Meloplants” and playing them back as best you can. But fearsome machines called Guardians are prowling the planet’s surface and they certainly won’t make your mission easy! So, despite your small size (and lack of combat programming), take the fight to the Guardians and gear up for pulse-pounding musical showdowns that truly test your skills. With a bit of courage and creativity, you might well receive an encore…

Inspired by the emotional storytelling and artistry of Pixar and Studio Ghibli, embark on an adventure where the fate of an entire planet rests in your (tiny) hands. Savour a vibrant stylised world, seek out the last remnants of humanity, and unpick a rich story full of twists, turns, and secrets – building on the storied legacy of Microids’ famed narrative adventures.

Mathias Jacquin-Ravot and Paul Samuelson, co-founders of Anomalie Studio:

“After a long journey, we’re excited to finally release Melobot – A Last Song. Crafted from our hearts, we’re grateful to everyone who plays and can’t wait to share this experience with you all.”
