Logitech Level Up Their Pro Series With A New Gaming Mouse & Magnetic Analogue Keyboard

Growing up, I was a Logitech gamer. My first proper gaming mouse was the G502 Proteus Spectrum and my first gaming headset was the original Logitech G Pro X Headset. As my peripherals deteriorated over time, I admit, I’ve since shifted onto other brands, but that doesn’t change the fact that at heart, I do love Logitech. And that’s why today I can say that I had the pleasure of attending LogiPLAY 2024, hosted by Logitech at the sleek and modern Brick Studios by Metal Bees in Petaling Jaya. The event was nothing short of a tech wonderland, where the latest in esports gear was unveiled, showcasing Logitech’s continued drive for innovation. Elite gaming hardware, developed with meticulous attention to detail, dominated the space, and I was lucky enough to get my hands on two standouts: the Logitech G Pro X TKL Rapid and the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 Dex.

The Wooting Killer?

The Logitech G Pro X TKL Rapid is a keyboard that immediately felt like it was built for speed. Logitech’s first foray into magnetic analogue switches, this beauty is designed with one goal in mind—maximum performance with rapid trigger capabilities. Adjusting actuation points on the fly without needing extra software? Count me in. It’s an ideal feature for esports athletes who can’t afford to install third-party software during tournaments.

From the first keystroke, I could feel how the adjustable actuation points gave me precise control. There’s no lag, no delay, just the exact response time I needed, which made in-game actions feel immediate. I also appreciated the durable construction, with its recycled aluminium and plastic build—both eco-friendly and rock-solid under my fingertips.

However, my only concern lies in how this will interact with certain games. Recently, Valve reprimanded Razer for their SnapTap update, which caused Counter-Strike 2 players to be kicked out for using it. SnapTap’s integration was primarily software-driven, which triggered the issues. Logitech seems to have a workaround since their rapid trigger feature is hardware-based, using magnetic analogue switches rather than software-driven actions. Still, it’s something I’ll be watching closely in future testing.

Precision in Hand

Then, there was the Logitech G Pro Superlight 2 Dex—a right-handed, asymmetrical gaming mouse that feels like an extension of your hand. Developed with feedback from esports pros in games like Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant, this mouse delivers insane precision. The HERO 2 sensor, capable of tracking speeds over 888 inches per second, paired with Logitech’s LIGHTFORCE switches, created a level of responsiveness I’ve never experienced before.

Despite this, whether I was making a quick flick in an FPS or slowly trailing a target, the mouse never faltered. The upgraded 8kHz polling rate meant every movement was captured instantaneously, allowing me to react faster than ever. Plus, it’s eco-friendly too, with up to 55% post-consumer recycled ABS plastic, giving me high-end performance without the guilt.

As an avid esports enthusiast, the G Pro Superlight 2 has always held a special place for me, thanks to its strong presence in competitive gaming. Despite that, I found myself gravitating towards the Pulsar Xlite V2 Mini for its more tailored ergonomics—making it hard to imagine switching back to an ambidextrous design. However, the introduction of the Superlight 2 Dex has me reconsidering my allegiance to Logitech. My only hang-up is that it feels a tad too large for my hands. But hey, I’m not the tallest guy around, and these mice are clearly built with a bigger crowd in mind—so maybe it’s just a “me” problem!

What You’ll Pay for Peak Performance

For those eager to add these innovations to their setups, the Logitech G Pro X TKL Rapid comes in at RM799, reflecting the cutting-edge technology and high performance offered by its magnetic analogue switches. On the other hand, the Logitech G Pro Superlight 2 Dex, known for its lightweight build and insane precision, is priced at RM899. While these may seem like premium prices, the level of craftsmanship, performance enhancements, and eco-friendly materials make them a worthwhile investment for serious gamers and esports athletes alike. If you’re keen then you can check out the Lazada Logitech G official store and Shopee Logitech G official store.

A Day of Performance & Innovation

LogiPLAY 2024 wasn’t just a product launch—it was a statement of intent. Logitech G continues to raise the bar by collaborating with esports athletes to fine-tune every detail for peak performance. From the lightning-fast precision of the PRO Superlight 2 Dex to the customisable rapid actuation of the PRO X TKL Rapid, these devices are engineered to give gamers a competitive edge in high-pressure moments. But beyond showcasing cutting-edge gear, this event carried a deeper message: Logitech hasn’t forgotten about Malaysia. As the country grows into a key hub for gaming and tech, Logitech made it clear that Malaysia isn’t just another stop on their global circuit—it’s a crucial market they’re dedicated to supporting. Their presence in Petaling Jaya was a reminder that this region’s importance is only increasing, and Logitech is here to stay as they continue to innovate and expand.
