Night Slashers: Remake unleashes Horror-Fueled Action This September

Forever Entertainment and Storm Trident have revealed that Night Slashers, a cult classic originally released in 1993 by Data East, is being remade for modern platforms.
The game transports players to a nightmarish world where the fate of humanity rests in the hands of four skilled fighters. These characters must battle through hordes of undead, mutants, and supernatural creatures to prevent an impending apocalypse. Night Slashers: Remake allows for up to four players in local multiplayer mode, with each player controlling a unique character with diverse moves.
Staying true to its roots, Night Slashers: Remake provides classic side-scrolling beat ’em up action reminiscent of iconic games like Streets of Rage and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. With multiple levels, including a secret stage, players will face powerful bosses and can utilize various combat techniques such as combos, jumping attacks, and grappling moves. Plus, each character possesses devastating special moves at the cost of their health.
The game stands out due to its dark, horror-infused world, featuring atmospheric music and stylized gore appealing to fans of classic horror movies and games. Players will confront an array of undead adversaries, including zombies, mutants, werewolves, and other iconic horror-themed bosses like Dracula and Frankenstein’s monster.
The Remake version offers customizable gameplay rules, allowing players to tweak elements such as time limits and exploding corpses according to their preferences. With updated visuals, enhanced gameplay, and new content, this remake aims to captivate both long-time fans and new players to the genre.
Night Slashers: Remake will launch on 26 September 2024 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
