The Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF) and the Thailand Esports Federation (TESF) have announced that they signed a cooperation agreement for the upcoming Asian Esports Games 2024.
The agreement was signed by AESF Director General Sebastian Lau and TESF President Santi Lothong, in the presence of Nattapol Antarasen, Director of the Professional Sports Development Promotion Division, and officials from the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), at the 7th Anniversary Chalermprakiat Building, SAT, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The objective of the agreement is to organize the Asian Esports Games 2024, which will be taking place in Bangkok, Thailand, from 25 November to 3 December 2024. The event will be organized in accordance with Olympic values, standards, and regulations.
The AESF will act as the sanctioning body, while the TESF will serve as the host and organizer, with support from the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) and the National Sports Development Fund of Thailand (NSDF). The event will bring together national teams from AESF member associations across Asia to compete.
The agreement between AESF and TESF covers various aspects of event organization, including competition planning, venue selection, game title licensing, international technical officials, team invitations, and comprehensive services for participating teams.
The participating teams will receive full coverage of flights, accommodation, and logistical arrangements. The AESF will also serve as the Technical Delegate, overseeing the selection and management of the International Technical Officials (ITOs) and team invitations.
The Asian Esports Games 2024 will take place at Indoor Stadium Hua Mak, Bangkok, featuring confirmed games such as Arena Of Valor for the open team event, Mobile Legends Bang Bang for the women’s team event, and an individual title event, which will be announced at a later date. The format of the competition will include a group stage, playoffs, and grand finals.
A prize pool will be offered for the champions, second place, and third place in all events. At least 35 countries and regions are expected to participate in the upcoming event.
