Assassin’s Creed Mirage Is Now On Steam To Tide You Over Until Shadows
By Alleef Ashaari|October 18, 2024|0 Comment
Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Mirage is now available through Steam for PC. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is already available on Ubisoft+, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One, iOS and PC through the Ubisoft Store and Epic Games Store.
Additionally, all editions of Assassin’s Creed Mirage (Deluxe Edition, Master Assassin Edition, Standard Edition) will be on sale, with a 50% promotion from October 22 to November 5 on the Ubisoft Store, and from October 17 to 24 on Steam.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage provides an immersive story in which players embody Basim Ibn Is’haq, a street thief who joins the Hidden Ones on a quest for answers, evolving in the Golden Age of ninth-century Baghdad. Assassin’s Creed Mirage offers a narrative-driven action-adventure experience with a focus on parkour, stealth and assassination gameplay elements that represent the core of the franchise.
This will tide fans over until the release of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which was delayed to 14 February 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC (via Steam and other platforms).
Back in July 2024, Ubisoft issued a formal apology after using a Japanese historical re-enactment group’s flag in a piece of concept art for Assassin’s Creed Shadows without asking for permission. That’s not even mentioning all the controversy related to the inclusion of Yasuke as a protagonist in the game, and whether he’s a Samurai.
In the meantime, head on over here for our full review of Assassin’s Creed Mirage, as well as our interviews with Ubisoft Singapore about the game’s process of adding the Islamic call to prayer and new game mechanics.
