Bandai Namco has teamed up with Rebel Wolves, a Polish studio founded in 2022 by key developers from The Witcher 3, to publish their debut game.

This new venture, the first in the Dawnwalker saga, promises to deliver a mature, story-driven action RPG set in a medieval European world. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game is expected to launch across PC, PS5, and Xbox, both digitally and physically.

Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves’ chief publishing officer, expressed excitement about the partnership. He highlighted Bandai Namco’s strong RPG portfolio and their shared vision:

“Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a company known for its dedication to the role-playing genre and willingness to engage with new IPs, is a perfect match for our wolfpack. Not only does it share our values, but also its track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself.”

On the publisher’s side, Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco Europe’s VP of business development, emphasized that this collaboration marks a key milestone in their strategy to expand Western content. He praised Rebel Wolves’ talented team, confident that their new universe will be a valuable addition to the Bandai Namco portfolio.

“This is another key milestone in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we will deliver this first game of the studio to a worldwide audience. We’re excited with the universe being created by Rebel Wolves thanks to their extremely talented team of developers, resulting in a great addition to our portfolio.”

In January, the studio welcomed The Witcher 3 veteran Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz as its creative director. With nearly 13 years at CD Projekt Red, Tomaszkiewicz worked on major titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and contributed to The Witcher 3 as lead quest designer. Before joining Rebel Wolves, he spent two years shaping the narrative for Riot Games’ upcoming League of Legends MMO.
