The Next Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves Character Is One Of Kim’s Taekwando Sons
SNK has announced the next character in the ever-growing Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves roster, and it’s the spawn of a fan favourite. You could even say he has a electrifying personality.
Making his debut is Kim Dong Hwan, the happy-go-lucky offspring of Fatal Fury taekwondo legend Kim Kaphwan; one-half of his spawns at least. Moves-wise, he has some of his dad’s moves like Haki Kyaku, the axe-kick part of Ryuusei Raku, and Kuusajin (multi-hit anti-air), but with literal electricity coming out of his hits and feet. He’s looking like an all-offensive rushdown character based on his multi-hitting and combo potential.
Here’s his plot bits in the next Fatal Fury.
Son of taekwondo master Kim Kaphwan, and no stranger to the martial art himself—a true taekwondo prodigy, as he puts it. Dong Hwan’s unabashed, happy-go-lucky lifestyle after the previous tournament earns him a stern reprimand from his father, which promptly takes him down a peg or two. Turns out it’s just the kind of wake-up call Dong Hwan needs, though—and so, adamant that his grasp of taekwondo will someday surpass even his dad’s, the fledgling fighter (secretly) dives headfirst into his own unique brand of training.
What does this mean for the Fatal Fury roster? Well, Dong Hwan’s brother Kim Jae Hoon is most likely going to be revealed on a later date, since the two should come in a pair and represent Kim Kaphwan’s brand of taekwondo. Jae Hoon is closer to his dad in personality and is a complete opposite of his brother: responsible and serious. Also, his kicks and fighting style incorporate flames.
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will be out on 24 April 2025 for PC and consoles.
