Developer Motion Twin (of Dead Cells fame) will be releasing a playable build of its upcoming roguelike action game Windblown soon.

Windblown will be out in Early Access form for PC (Steam) on 24 October. To recap, you’re a bunch of fantasy creatures called Leapers who have to protect your village, the Ark, from the Vortex and its emissaries that’s going to devour your domicile.

The Early Access version of the title will feature 5 biomes and 12 main weapons, and is fully playable with up to three players. Within the year of Early Access, the game will get additional biomes, levels, new weapons, and more.

If you want to play the game early, there’s the Steam Next Fest 2024 demo that will feature the early parts of the game slated from 14th October to 21st October. Saved data from the demo can be carried over to the Early Access release.

Advance carefully though; a mis-timed dash could send you right into the deadly swing of a Sentinel’s blade. Learn from your countless deaths, memorize enemy movements and come back stronger. If you can’t handle it on your own, you can always seek help from fellow Leapers in online co-op to even the odds.
