The What, When & Where

Worlds 2024 will be hosted in Europe, starting with the Play-In Stage on 25 September and culminating in the Finals on 2 November at The O2 in London. Throughout the tournament, matches will take place across various cities, including Berlin, Paris, and finally, London, where the ultimate champion will be crowned. A New Format

The tournament’s format offers plenty of twists and turns. Worlds 2024 kicks off with the Play-In Stage, featuring eight teams in a double-elimination bracket. The winners will advance to the Swiss Stage, where they will join 12 teams already seeded based on regional performance. The Swiss Stage matches teams with similar records in a best-of-one format, with progression or elimination decided by best-of-three matches. The top eight will move on to the Knockout Stage, a single-elimination bracket leading to the grand final.

This year’s competition features 20 teams representing eight regions, including top contenders from China’s LPL, Korea’s LCK, Europe’s LEC, and North America’s LCS.
