Monster Hunter Set to Introduce Its Own Version of “Digivice”
By Alisha Alix|October 1, 2024|0 Comment
Capcom has joined forces with Bandai Namco to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Monster Hunter by introducing a new line of Monster Hunter-themed Digimon Colour devices. These gadgets will let you raise, nurture, and battle monsters, and will feature iconic Monster Hunter creatures.
The companies are bringing out two versions of the device, inspired by fan-favourite monsters: Rathalos and Zinogre. Players will have the opportunity to nurture a variety of Monster Hunter creatures in charming pixel art graphics.
These Monster-Hunter virtual pet devices will have evolution mechanics similar to the classic digivices, so how you take care of your monsters will influence their development. You can look forward to nurturing creatures like Rathalos, Zinogre, Khezu, Rajang, Tigrex, Nargacuga, Mizutsune, and many more.
What’s interesting is that these devices will be compatible with existing Digimon Colour releases, so you can battle your Monster Hunter buddies against classic Digimon and see which franchise has the more powerful creatures.
The Monster Hunter-themed Digimon Colour devices are set to be released in February 2025, and you can preorder them through Premium Bandai online store for 7,700 yen (RM221.95). However, fans outside of Japan may face challenges in getting their hands on the anticipated gadgets due to limited availability.
Bandai Namco has been working on bringing more Tamagotchi and Digimon devices releases to Western regions over the past few years, but the Digimon Colour devices have had limited international releases in the past. So, if you’re hoping to grab one of these new gadgets, you might need to get a little creative with your purchase.
