Razer’s Latest Headset Celebrates Pokémon Gengar
By Alisha Alix|October 17, 2024|0 Comment
Pokémon has a knack for collaborating with unexpected brands, and the results are often delightful. The franchise is known for its high-quality official merchandise, and this latest partnership is no exception.
Recently, Pokémon joined forces with Oreo to roll out a new range of flavours, collaborated with Julie’s Biscuit for a Pokémon Run, and even partnered with Tealive for some creative drinks. Now, things are getting exciting in the gaming realm, thanks to a fresh collaboration with Razer.
This week, Razer has unveiled an exclusive Gengar headset as part of the Pokémon x Razer collection, but there’s a catch: it’s only available in China. Fans outside the country might find it difficult to get their hands on this region-locked item.
Designed with Gengar enthusiasts in mind, this vibrant purple headset showcases the beloved Pokémon’s distinctive head spikes and pointy ears. Inside the ear cups, you’ll find custom Gengar design elements, and on the outside, a glowing Gengar logo lights up each side. It’s built on the Razer Kraken V3 X framework, known for being lightweight and comfortable, with features like Razer Chroma RGB lighting and a HyperClear Cardioid mic.
Unfortunately, for those dreaming of adding this unique piece to their collection, there are no plans for an international release. If you’re determined to snag one, importing it might be your best bet.
On another note, Pokémon developer Game Freak recently reported a concerning data breach following unauthorized access to their servers, which has raised eyebrows in the community. It’s a reminder that even the most enchanting worlds have their challenges.
