The First Berserker: Khazan’s Stunning Cinematic Trailer Sets High Expectations

Earlier this week at Gamescom 2024, Nexon showcased some more gameplay of their upcoming action RPG, The First Berserker: Khazan. While I thought that would be all regarding Khazan for now, Nexon has just dropped a breathtaking cinematic trailer, and it’s safe to say, the visuals are nothing short of spellbinding. In fact, if any game could capture the intense and darkly gritty atmosphere of the Berserk manga, Khazan might just be it.

This new trailer dives into the grim world of Khazan, a fierce general returning from the dead with vengeance on his mind. The cinematic style feels deeply inspired, with 3D cel animation that vividly captures every gritty detail and powerful battle scene. From the pulse-pounding encounters to the towering adversaries, the atmosphere is dark, brutal, and strangely beautiful—evoking the kind of visual storytelling we’d expect in a Berserk-inspired experience.

Nexon and Neople, known for their Dungeon & Fighter franchise, have gone all out on this ambitious project. While Gamescom 2024 earlier gave fans a peek at Khazan’s gameplay, today’s cinematic trailer serves as a true showcase of the game’s graphics, which go above and beyond to make Khazan stand out in the action-RPG genre. The result is a moody, highly immersive world, packed with battles that look as intense as they are gorgeous.

The full game release is set for early 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X | S, promising fans plenty to anticipate.
