Here’s What You Need To Know About Black Ops 6 Ranked Play
By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|November 8, 2024|0 Comment
Black Ops 6 is upping the ante with Ranked Play, officially launching on 14 November. This time, Treyarch and Raven Software are bringing more depth and complexity than in previous years. Here’s a complete, streamlined look at the new Ranked Play system to give you a competitive edge.
In line with previous titles, the competitive modes for Black Ops 6’s Ranked Play will include Hardpoint, Control, and Search and Destroy, which also serve as the official formats for the CDL 2025 season.
To enter Ranked Play, you’ll need to win a hefty 50 matches in multiplayer—simply playing won’t cut it. That’s about 100 games if you’re winning every other match, though wins from previous games will count toward this total.
Black Ops 6 maintains the classic rank progression you’re used to:
Before each match, players get a choice of three map and mode combinations, with each team allowed to veto one. This setup maximizes player control, ensuring only one preferred option makes the cut.
In challenging situations, your team can vote to forfeit a match, counting as a loss but without further penalties. The option only becomes available after a certain point in each game.
Unlockable skins make a comeback, ranging from basic to ‘Champion’ skins, each requiring a specific rank to obtain.
Activision has yet to reveal which weapons, attachments, perks, and equipment will be restricted in Ranked Play. More details are expected closer to the launch date.
