Lies of P DLC Coming Q1 2025, With Sequel & Sci-Fi Game In Development
By Lewis LarcombeVerified|November 29, 2024|0 Comment
Fans of Lies of P can look forward to new adventures, as its DLC is officially set to launch in the first quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, developer Round 8 Studio is not resting on its laurels, with a sequel to the Pinocchio-inspired action RPG already in the works, alongside an ambitious new sci-fi survival horror IP.
Publisher Neowiz shared that while details about this upcoming sci-fi title remain scarce, they confirmed it is being developed for both PC and consoles. “It is still too early to disclose the progress of the project,” and “It’s one of the PC and console games that Round 8 Studio is preparing,” Neowiz stated, hinting at exciting plans without spilling too much.
As for the Lies of P DLC, the team remains tight-lipped on specifics. However, game director Jiwan Choi previously offered a glimpse of their vision, stating,
“For the DLC of the Lies of P and the sequel, we aim to do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow. It might sound simple, but I think sticking to the basics is anything but easy. Thankfully, I have amazing colleagues in whom I can place my full trust.”
Lies of P made its mark in 2023, launching on Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC (via Steam), and even joining Xbox Game Pass on day one. The game received critical acclaim, earning Metacritic scores of 80 (PS5), 83 (PC), and 84 (Xbox Series X | S). Neowiz also celebrated a milestone achievement, with the game surpassing one million sales within its first month.
With both DLC and sequel development happening simultaneously, and an intriguing sci-fi project in the pipeline, Round 8 Studio seems poised to keep delivering unforgettable gaming experiences.
