These Are Your Two Malaysian Teams Qualified For The Mobile Legends M6 World Championship

Two Malaysian Mobile Legends teams are qualified in the prestigious M6 World Championship tournament after a gruelling MPL season during the past weekend.
The MPL Malaysia Season 14 had two top teams in the grand finals in the EduCity Sports Complex in Johor, Malaysia: Selangor Red Giants and Team Vamos. While both teams are qualified for M6, the MPL still needed a 1st and 2nd place winner, with both teams duking it out.
At the end of it all, Selangor Red Giants defeated Team Vamos 4-2, with the match setting an all-time high record for online and offline audiences; the former is 812,911 peak concurrent views and the latter is 15,000 people.
Furthermore, Malaysia’s leaders graced the Grand Finals’ Johor stage, with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Rural and Regional Development of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Zahid bin Hamidi, reiterating the government’s support for the esports industry and expressing hopes that more will be done to continue its growth. The Deputy Prime Minister applauded Malaysia’s recently announced RM20 million Madani Budget 2025 allocation to enhance the esports ecosystem and revealed that “MYR 10 million will be used to develop a stadium specifically for esports, while the remainder will be used for training and other esports-related activities.”
In related news, the upcoming M6 World Championship will take place from 21st November to 15 December 2024 at both the IOI Grand Exhibition & Convention Center (Wildcard, Playoffs) and Axiata Arena (Semifinals & Grand Final) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
