Romance Visual Novel ToHeart Gets A Remake

Aquaplus has thrilling news for fans of classic visual novels: the beloved title ToHeart is set to receive a highly anticipated remake, scheduled for release in Spring 2025 on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam in Japan.

Originally launched in 1997, ToHeart quickly captured the hearts of players with its compelling high school romance narrative, becoming a genre-defining classic. The game has since inspired multiple adaptations, including anime series and a sequel, solidifying its status as a cornerstone of the visual novel genre.

The remake promises to introduce this enchanting story to a fresh generation of players, boasting revitalized 3D visuals that breathe new life and offer an immersive experience that enhances the original’s charm.

Adding to the excitement, fans can look forward to a refreshed voice cast for two pivotal roles. Kana Ichinose will take on the role of Akari Kamigishi, while Hina Yomiya voices Multi. For those nostalgic for the past, the option to switch back to the original voice cast is available, allowing longtime fans to relive their favourite moments as they were initially presented.

Furthermore, the iconic opening theme, “Feeling Heart,” will return, now reimagined and sung by YURiKA, providing a modern twist on the classic track that originally graced the 1999 PlayStation release, performed by Masami Nakatsukasa.

The game will be available for both physical and digital purchase on Nintendo Switch in Japan, with a special limited-edition version currently in the works. As of now, there are no confirmed plans for a release in other regions, but anticipation is undoubtedly building among the community.

ToHeart remains one of AquaPlus’ flagship titles, and this remake presents the perfect opportunity for both new players and seasoned fans to dive back into a captivating world filled with romance and adventure. Don’t miss the chance to experience the magic of ToHeart once again!
