Wuthering Waves for PS5 Release Date Revealed

Chinese-based development and publishing studio, Kuro Games, has officially revealed the release date for the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 version of their popular open-world action RPG, Wuthering Waves. Coinciding with this release, players can also look forward to Version 2.0, the game’s first substantial update, which will introduce an exciting new region titled Rinascita.

The update brings intriguing plot developments centered around Rover’s companion, Abby, who exhibits unusual symptoms of sleepiness and hunger. To find a cure, Rover will journey away from Huanglong and The Black Shores, venturing to Ragunna—an enchanting city within Rinascita known for its vibrant masked carnivals. The trailer showcased stunning environments, exotic creatures, and introduced two new characters, all of which hint at exciting adventures to come in the new region.

Rinascita’s trailer introduces two enigmatic new characters. The first is a petite female clad in a striking blue and pink outfit, sporting a visible Tacet Mark on her right leg, suggesting she may become a future playable character. The second character appears to be a tall female dressed in elegant white and red attire, though she lacks a visible Tacet Mark. Rumours within the Wuthering Waves community have circulated about their names, with the short character possibly identified as Roccia (or Rococo) and the tall one as Carlotta.

Since its launch on 22 May 2024, for Android, iOS, and PC through the Epic Games Store, Wuthering Waves has garnered an impressive following, amassing over 30 million downloads. To celebrate this milestone, Kuro Games generously distributed 10 Lustrous Tides and 5 Crystal Solvents to all players as a token of appreciation.

For players currently enjoying Wuthering Waves on PC or mobile, Kuro Games has included a convenient account sync feature, allowing for seamless progress transfer across platforms. Don’t miss out on the PlayStation 5 release, scheduled for 2 January 2024, as Kuro Games continues to expand the Wuthering Waves experience for its ever-growing player base.
