Marvel Rivals: The Best Heroes To Counter Iron Fist

Marvel Rivals has its fair share of heavy hitters, but none pack a more stylishly devastating punch than Lin Lie otherwise known as Iron Fist. This Duelist-class hero isn’t for the faint-hearted—both to play as and to face off against. With a four-star difficulty rating, his mastery requires finesse, but in the right hands, he’s a walking storm of precise strikes and brutal combos.

Armed with mid- and close-range abilities that can obliterate health bars in seconds, Iron Fist thrives on outmanoeuvring foes and punishing mistakes. Think you’re safe from his flurry of fists? Think again. He doesn’t just bring the pain—he makes it look good. If you’re on the receiving end, you’ll need to bring your A-game to counter this martial arts maestro.

Marvel Rivals: The Best Heroes To Counter Iron Fist?

Iron Man (Duelist)

When it comes to keeping Iron Fist at bay, Iron Man excels in playing keep-away. With his ability to stay airborne indefinitely, Tony Stark can laugh in the face of Lin Lie’s Crane Leap attempts to close the gap.

From the skies, Iron Man’s Repulsor Blasts and devastating Unibeam provide the perfect tools to chip away at Iron Fist’s health from a safe distance. Pro tip: as long as you keep your distance and manage cooldowns effectively, Iron Fist will be too busy chasing shadows to land a meaningful hit.

Magneto (Vanguard)

Magneto brings a tanky presence that Iron Fist simply can’t break through. Boasting 650 HP compared to Lin Lie’s fragile 250 HP, Magneto can endure the flurry of strikes that would crumble most opponents.

While Iron Fist thrives in close combat, Magneto’s magnetic abilities can deal solid ranged damage, making it hard for the Duelist to get close without paying a steep price. Magneto is the immovable object Iron Fist dreads to encounter.

Adam Warlock (Strategist)

If Iron Fist is all about overwhelming foes, Adam Warlock is the perfect counterbalance. This support hero doesn’t just sustain himself but also keeps his teammates alive with his Avatar Life Stream healing ability.

Warlock’s ranged Quantum Magic and Cosmic Cluster abilities are tailor-made to exploit Iron Fist’s biggest weakness: his lack of ranged options. Even at a distance, Warlock can keep Iron Fist on his toes while simultaneously bolstering his allies. It’s like fighting a team and a healer rolled into one.

Hawkeye (Duelist)

For fans of precision play, Hawkeye is the answer to Lin Lie’s melee madness. Armed with a quiver full of deadly tricks, Clint Barton thrives on picking apart foes from a safe distance.

Now as a Hawkeye-main, I too was surprised to find out that my main was considered to be a counter given how much of a headache Iron Fist gives me. But with abilities like Piercing Arrow, Blast Arrow, and Hypersonic Arrow, Hawkeye can pepper Iron Fist with devastating damage before the latter even gets close. It just takes positioning and decent aim. Try your best to stay on high ground, away from your backline as that’s usually where Lin Lie darts to.

Black Widow (Duelist)

The spy with the deadly eye, Black Widow, rounds out this list as a ranged menace that Iron Fist struggles to handle. While her Widow’s Bite Baton caters to close-range combat, her true strength lies in the Red Room Rifle.

From her sniper’s perch, she can deal heavy damage with each shot, keeping Lin Lie at arm’s length. If he dares to close in, her Electro-Plasma Explosion slows him down, making escape nearly impossible. In a duel between the fists of fury and the sniper’s precision, Widow has the edge at range—and she knows how to use it.
