The 2025 Strix family also boasts the latest processors from both AMD and Intel. The next-gen Intel® Core Ultra 9 processor 275HX is available on both the top-end Strix SCAR machines as well as the Strix G16 and G18, while the AMD-equipped Strix G16 and Strix G18 feature the latest AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (Strix G16) or Ryzen 9 9955HX (Strix G18) processors . No matter which variant gamers choose, world-class gaming performance and multi-tasking potential await. Supported by up to 64GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 4TB of PCIe® Gen 4 storage on the Strix SCAR 16 and 18, and 32GB of DDR5 5600MHz RAM and 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage on the Strix G16 and G18, these machines are the perfect match for gamers and content creators who demand a next-level experience.
This year, ROG uses a new sandwiched heatsink design on its Intel-based Strix machines, which puts heatsink fins on the top and bottom of the new end-to-end vapor chamber. This new design saves space and increases cooling efficiency, especially when combined with a full-length rear exhaust vent, liquid metal on the CPU and GPU, and plenty of intake space on the side, bottom, and keyboard. Taken together, this thermal system allows these laptops to push up to 240W of power, with less noise than the previous generation. All the while, integrated dust filters keep debris out of the system for extra longevity.
Meanwhile, the 2025 AMD-based Strix G16 and G18 are cooled by 7 heat pipes with full-surround vents and a full-width heatsink for excellent heat dissipation. Paired with up to a tri-fan cooling solution, these laptops keep the VRAM and GPU cool to boost performance where gamers need it the most.
Since its debut in 2022, the ROG Flow Z13 has been the benchmark of power and portability in a gaming tablet. But for 2025, ROG has redefined the category, thanks to a brand-new and ultra-powerful chiplet processor from AMD, the AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395. This desktop-class CPU also features incredibly powerful RDNA 3.5 graphics cores, giving it gaming performance that is on par with Radeon™ 8060S graphics, with incredible power efficiency. Dedicated NPU cores also make the Flow Z13 a capable AI PC, with 50 TOPS of total NPU compute power, so it delivers an enhanced Copilot+ experience..
To fit all this power in such a compact chassis, the Flow Z13 features premium power-delivery components, including 14 power phases and Japanese capacitors. The Flow Z13’s processor utilizes a unified quad-channel memory design, allowing the entire device to share the same pool of up to 128GB of ultra-high-speed LPDDR5X-8000 RAM between both the CPU and GPU cores completely dynamically. Whether gamers are deep in the latest games, editing a video file, or simply browsing the web, the unified memory structure dynamically allocates the load.
The 2025 Flow Z13 features a brand-new vapour chamber, now built with a combination of stainless steel and copper and offering 54% more coverage of the mainboard compared to the previous generation design. This design keeps the vapour chamber low-profile yet retains rigidity, all while offering excellent cooling performance. The Flow Z13 features a redesigned pathing for air from the pair of 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans™, diverting a small amount to a specially designed channel behind the touchscreen to keep skin temperatures lower during use.
A gorgeous 2.5K 180Hz ROG Nebula Display takes centre stage on the Flow Z13, with 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space and 500 nits of peak brightness. The machine also features robust I/O, with a 200W charging port, a dedicated HDMI port, as well as dual USB-A and dual USB-C ports, both of which support USB4.
ROG Zephyrus sees all new ultra-portable designs, including the G14 that features up to an AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and a dedicated NPU with 50 TOPS of total NPU compute power for an enhanced Copilot+ experience, and the Zephyrus G16 with an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor 285H and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. With incredibly compact form factors, these machines are advanced thin-and-light gaming laptops. The GPU comes with professional-grade hardware to tackle the most demanding AI, video, 3D and livestreaming and workflows, powered by GeForce RTX. It also comes with NVIDIA Studio optimizations in 150+ apps, and enables users to run cutting-edge generative AI models. And, as a NIM-ready system, it’s preconfigured for advanced AI.
These machines further refine the power and performance possible in an ultraslim form factor thanks to improvements to the cooling system. With improved heatpipe design and pairing it with 2nd Gen Arc Flow Fans, the system is 23% more efficient than previous models. The 2025 Zephyrus lineup defines what a thin-and-light gaming laptop is capable of.
Equipped with ROG Nebula Displays with an OLED panel, the Zephyrus gaming laptop lineup packs visuals that will blow gamers away. With 3K resolution available on the G14 and 2.5K resolution on the G16, up to 240Hz refresh rates, and full support for NVIDIA G-SYNC®, these displays will stun gamers and creators alike. The 2025 Zephyrus lineup continues the bold yet refined styling that defines the lineup, with premium CNC-machined aluminum chassis and the luminous Slash Lighting array.
ROG is also proud to announce the triumphant return of the XG Mobile, which now uses Thunderbolt 5. This flexible standard allows the powerful external GPU broad compatibility, capable of powering up the gaming performance of Thunderbolt 5, Thunderbolt 4, and USB4 devices today and in the future.
Two models are available, featuring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU. For a seamless single-cable solution to elevate an existing gaming laptop’s performance, gamers need look no further.
Both models have a brand-new chassis design, complete with an off-black semi-transparent casing that allows a glimpse inside the XG Mobile and the premium components within. This compact chassis features a brand-new stainless steel vapor chamber, which reduces weight without reducing surface contact or cooling efficiency.
Part external GPU and part external dock, the XG Mobile has extensive connectivity. With a single Thunderbolt 5 cable, the XG Mobile boasts dual USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, a 5Gbps Ethernet port, a UHS-II MicroSD card reader, and an additional downstream Thunderbolt 5 port. With a single connection, gamers can turn their gaming laptop into a true battlestation.
