Mai Shiranui Will Bounce Into Street Fighter 6 Next Month

The next new character in Street Fighter 6’s Season 2 DLC pass is flying in soon with her fans and funbags.
That’s right: Mai Shiranui of Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters fame is jumping into the game with her ninja tricks and flame powers on 5th February.
Here’s how she looks in the Street Fighter 6 engine.
From what I gather in the new gameplay trailer, she has her trademark moves: fan toss, Ryuenbu, her horizontal flying elbow smash move, her divekick, and her anti-air from Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. Her EX fan bounces slightly when blocked (like Guilty Gear Strive’s Anji’s butterflies), she has juggle potential with her EX moves and can extend her combos and damage, and she’s definitely going to be a rushdown style character with the way she moves and darts around on-screen. Her Level 3 Super Art seems brand-new to the game; it’s most likely an obscure move from an older Fatal Fury game.
Check out how the English VO and Japanese VO for the buxom ninja compare with one another on our video below:
If you want to see how her moves look like in comparison with her SNK iterations, check out our comparison video below. We go way back in the 90s with Fatal Fury 2.
