All The Games At Xbox Developer Session Asia Spotlight 2025

Today, Xbox Southeast Asia has put the spotlight on upcoming Asian-made video games ranging from strategy games set in an alternate 70s Indonesia to a survival horror title steeped in Indonesian culture.

The company has released its Xbox Developer Sessions -Asian edition- livestream today led by Xbox SEA Strategic Markets lead Jun Shen Chia. Check out our interview with him below.

Here are the games that received the major spotlight from the newly-dubbed third-party company with its “This Is An Xbox” and Game Pass ecosystem. Note that these titles will be out for PC and Xbox consoles, as well as Xbox Game Pass.

13Z

A 3D action roguelike title from Mixed Realms, hailing from Singapore. This action game has you playing as each of the 13 Zodiac warriors as they go through trials set in randomized levels and structured biomes, all tailored after Chinese mythology and using bright colourful aesthetics.

Agni: Village of Calamity

An upcoming survival horror game from Separuh Interactive, hailing from Indonesia. It’s cinematic, it’s full of detail and gets graphic at times, it’s tapping into Indonesian myths and horror tropes not seen outside of the country’s grindhouse horror scene, and it’s giving us Resident Evil and Alan Wake vibes. Only from a smaller team who clearly love their horror gaming fill.

Nightmare Circus

An isometric action game featuring clowns, effed up circus elements and characters, and a lot of ways to use your puppet strings to traverse platforms and beat up foes. Made by FairPlay Studios from Thailand.

Vapor World: Over The Mind

Made by Korean studio Alive Game Studios, this search action title features haunting graphics and a sombre narrative, alongside Soulslike combat mechanics to make the going tough.

Kriegsfront Tactics

We’ve talked about Kriegsfront Tactics Prologue a lot, so there’s not else to add about the main title. For those not in the know, Kriegsfront Tactics is a turn-based strategy game where you play a squad that pilots mechas and fights in skirmishes and battles during an alternate 1970s in Indonesia and its jungles.

This segment had the honour of having Front Mission creator Toshiro Tsuchida talking more about the game, which is an immediate blessing telling us that Kriegsfront Tactics may be the true successor to the mecha strategy series that Square Enix abandoned.
