Our pals from The Magic Rain is excited to present and host the third edition of Indie Jam.

Indie Jam 2025 is a free-to-enter Southeast Asian independent games showcase and mini-conference dedicated to celebrating and growing the indie game development scene in Malaysia and beyond. Here are the details of the event:

Venue: Xsolla Curine Academy @ KL Eco City
Date: 26 and 27 April 2025

This year’s edition will showcase over 35 game demos across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, and Thailand, including student projects from University of Wollongong Malaysia, DigiPen Malaysia, Asia Pacific University, and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. Speakers from various companies & outlets include Critical Reflex, Toge Productions, Neon Doctrine, Passion Republic, Springloaded Games, and University of Wollongong Malaysia, with more to come.

The event will also host the first-ever International Game Developers Association (IGDA) Global Mentor Café in Malaysia. The IGDA Mentor Café is designed to help industry professionals around the world support one another and learn skills to progress their careers. The networking event presents a great opportunity for mentees to receive advice from experts in their field, and for mentors to build relationships with the next generation of game developers.

One of them is ex-Kakuchopurei alumni Burhan Zamri, who is now an associate producer at Larian Studios. We couldn’t be more proud!
