Nintendo Power: We’re Getting A New Switch Next Year
This just in: Nintendo is going to release a new version of the Nintendo Switch in the second half of 2019. Of course, if you are well aware of Nintendo’s many ways of selling you different versions of its current hardware, this may not shock you one bit.
According to a recent Wall Street Journal JP article, the sales of the Nintendo switch are still decent but they aren’t the same as the first time the console debuted in March 2017. Nintendo shares, which rose sharply last year, have trailed the broader stock market this year. The move to update the Switch suggests the Kyoto, Japan, company is moving quickly to ensure its flagship product doesn’t lose competitiveness.

So what new changes will the new Switch receive? One option includes improving the display on the console, perhaps even adding in smartphone LCD technologies that is lacking in the current version of the console. Not only will it make the display brighter, but it will make the console thinner and more energy-efficient.
New version of Nintendo Switch may arrive as soon as summer next year, sources say. Machine specs not finalized yet, but one option is improvement on display. 3rd publishers hope new Switch would give clear hint what would happen on 3DS line.https://t.co/0qcQshYm2a
