Mando’s New Ship is Getting a Lego Set

Minor spoilers for Mandalorian Season 2 and Book of Boba Fett, but Mando’s new ship he gets in Boba’s show is coming to life with a Lego set.

In case you missed it, Djin Djarin’s chrome ship the Razor Crest was blown to smithereens in the second season of the Mandalorian. During his guest appearance in the Book of Boba Fett (more like a takeover, if you ask me), we get to see him build a brand new ship with a great callback to the prequel trilogy. His replacement turns out to be a Naboo Starfighter that he modifies to be shinier and chrome-ier than even his old ship, which could be in your hands with its upcoming Lego set.

The Naboo ship was previously seen in the divisive The Phantom Menace, piloted by a young Anakin Skywalker, where he says his iconic “Now this is podracing!” line. The new ship is rebranded as the N-1 Starfighter, and the Lego set seems to be a pretty extensive set. The set comes in 412 pieces, with some familiar faces to go along with it.

The Mandalorian, with a Darksaber and a jetpack accessory element, and Peli Motto with a wrench, plus LEGO figures of Grogu and a BD Droid (the same one from Jedi: Fallen Order, make an appearance to complete the set.

The set itself is a display set but is also playable, with the starfighter featuring a functioning cockpit both for Mando and little Grogu himself, along with a spring-loaded shooter and lots of authentic bashed-up details. A closer look into Mando’s figurine also looks to be that you can remove his helmet to reveal his face, although that isn’t the way. If you’re hoping for the Darksaber to be a unique design, sorry to say but it has the same generic look although with a black blade.

The release date has been confirmed as 1 June 2022, priced at RM251.00 and you can now pre-order it online from LEGO.com! Interested in another lego set, have a gander at the Tallneck from Horizon Forbidden West.
