Witness Barry Keoghan’s Joker In All His Glory In The Batman Deleted Scene
By Alleef Ashaari|March 25, 2022|3 Comments
At the end of The Batman, a post-credits scene revealed a tie-in website. After all the twists and turns, the final reveal is finally here, and it’s a gift for fans of the movie by director Matt Reeves. It’s a deleted scene featuring Robert Pattinson’s Batman interrogating Barry Keoghan’s Joker inside Arkham Asylum.
The scene does confirm a few things. One, Batman already knows the Joker, as the Joker points out that “it’s almost our anniversary, isn’t it?”, which means that this version of Batman must have faced and captured this version of the Joker sometime in year one of Batman’s career. That’s because the events of the movie basically takes place during year two of the Batman’s career.
With a last laugh, Joker finishes the encounter by taunting Batman, saying:
“I think deep down, you’re just terrified because you’re not sure he’s wrong. You think they deserved it. You think they deserved it!”
Barry Keoghan’s Joker definitely looks more disfigured than any other previous cinematic live-action version of the Joker. He looks somewhat like an amalgamation of Heath Ledger’s and Cameron Monaghan’s Jokers, especially the way that he speaks and laughs. I’m looking forward to seeing more of what this Joker can do in future sequels.
In the meantime, you can head on over here for my breakdown of the movie’s ending and post-credits, as well as what to expect from a potential sequel.

Also, this goes to show that clowns in pop culture do stir tons of emotion among the internet fanbase and community.
