NCSoft Announces Project M, A New Interactive Movie Adventure Game With Multiple Endings
Fans of Detroit: Become Human and other interactive movie games should pay attention to NCSoft’s latest venture.
The South Korean company just announced a new game called Project M, which is an interactive movie game currently being made for consoles. No release date has been announced yet.
The game will have ever-changing storylines and endings depending on the player’s decision, much like the aforementioned Quantic Dream titles but made by a South Korean game-making company that doesn’t abuse its workers (as far as we know). The game features lifelike graphics, cinematic production, and detailed expressions and movements via NCSoft’s high-end technical capabilities. You can judge it for yourself by looking at the trailer below, which comes with English closed captioning.
The trailer above depicts a girl’s death and a man’s revenge, where he goes out of his way punching and shooting (read: quick time event-ing) his way through those responsible. The game runs in Unreal Engine 5 and utilizes motion capture and other in-house tech to make the characters show this much expression. Basically, Project M will be that interactive Korean drama you’ve always wanted your significant other to play. Or watch while you end up pressing the button prompts. In any case, it looks fun and action-packed.
