Razer Pay Launching in Singapore Next Year
By Alleef Ashaari|November 12, 2018|1 Comment
Several months after launching its Razer Pay in Malaysia, Razer has announced that it will be partnering with NETS to launch the cashless e-wallet service in Singapore by the first quarter of 2019.
According to the press release, Razer is working with NETS to enable Razer Pay on NETS unified POS terminals, as well as with other major household brands like Reebonz, Sistic, SP Group, and WTS Travel. These include for both in-store offline purchases and online payment.
The partnership between Razer and these brands will allow for more functionalities and convenience of use. Examples of implementation include easily paying utility bills directly from the Razer App (SP Group), or even paying for your next concert ticket via the Razer app (Sistic).
Additionally, Razer Pay Singapore will also support Steam Wallet codes, Blizzard balance PINs, Sony PlayStation PINs, and a bunch of other “industry-leading gaming and digital entertainment offerings.”
“Since we announced our intention to launch Razer Pay by the first quarter of 2019, we’ve seen tremendous interest from businesses in Singapore keen to collaborate with us and integrate our e-payment framework,†said Razer CEO and co-founder Min-Liang Tan. “This is evidence that Singapore’s cashless ambition is still alive and kicking, and no existing single provider has managed to satisfy all of these merchants. With our focus on interoperability and collaboration with our industry friends, we’re confident that Razer Pay can step up to be the go-to e-payment provider in Singapore, covering everything from online to offline purchases.”
