Rick & Morty Partners With Adidas For A Sneaker Ad Featuring Mo Salah & Miedema
What do you get when you combine one of adult animation’s most popular duo and one of the world’s top football players? A pretty bizarre sneaker commercial.
Adult Swim’s Rick & Morty, a scifi show about a smart asshole scientist and his grandkid, teams up with sports shoe company Adidas for an ad featuring a new pair of alien green shoes called the Adidas X Speedportal which are available now. Check out the shoes below.
And to spice things up, they made a Rick & Morty animated version of world famous footballer Mo Salah from Liverpool who also captains the Egypt national team, and renowned female striker Vivianne Miedema from FA Women’s Super League Arsenal club/Netherlands national player. The ad runs for 1 minute and 30 seconds and is as Rick & Morty as it gets. I do wonder how Justin Roiland find all this free time to animate the upcoming season of the show, make a game featuring guns with faces, and do these commercials all at the same time.
The Adidas X Speedportal features speed-boosting for football boots, anti-slip silicone heel print, carbon fiber speedframe, and a US$280 price tag. You may have to check your local Adidas shop to see if it’s available.
