Diablo Immortal Players Find Themselves Losing Their Eternal Orbs
By Alleef Ashaari|September 6, 2022|0 Comment
Diablo Immortal players are losing their marbles. Literally.
What I mean by that is that Diablo Immortal players are losing the Eternal Orbs (the game’s in-game currency) that they have bought from third-party resellers. The price of Eternal Orbs ranges from US$1 for a pack of 60 to US$100 for 7,200, so buying them from resellers is cheaper. Unfortunately, Blizzard is cracking down hard on resellers, and the developer is revoking all the Eternal Orbs illegally purchased from resellers.
On Reddit, a user named Expzero1 said that many players in Southeast Asia were trying to sell their accounts in order to avoid losing money by losing the Eternal Orbs that they have purchased from resellers.
Players with negative orb balances are banned from group activities such as joining parties and participating in rifts and dungeons, and they cannot access the in-game market. However, they can still take part in the PvP Battleground, in which they can utilize the Eternal Orbs that they have accumulated.
In a statement to PC Gamer, Blizzard confirmed that they have taken action to address third-party resellers, and warned that they will continue to do so in the future.
The statement reads:
“We have been looking into abnormal Eternal Orb purchases that have been reported among the community, and taken actions to prevent players from purchasing Eternal Orbs through unofficial channels. Investigations have been made for accounts that have participated in these activities, and disciplinary measures were implemented against accounts that were found to have violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement. We will continue to monitor and take actions as needed.”
