Risk Of Rain Returns Is Hopoo Games’ Farewell To The 2D Roguelike Platformer
2013 2D action platformer roguelike title Risk Of Rain was a pioneer in the day, with many people still swearing by it up until now. Next year, the game will get its biggest and last update.
Developer Hopoo said that the next big Risk of Rain update, dubbed Risk of Rain Returns, will be in remastered form and will be out sometime in 2023; probably 8th November, since that’s the game’s anniversary. The update will add in new survivors, secrets, artifacts, expanded multiplayer, and more improvements.
Hopoo Community Manager Jonathan Cheetham said that this isn’t just a new coat of paint for the classic 2013 title.
“Risk of Rain Returns completely overhauls the original and introduces a ton of new content. It has an upgraded code base so we will be able to continue to update and add to the game with features that weren’t previously possible.
Risk of Rain Returns is a whole new game and an upgraded experience from the original Risk of Rain.”
