Sons Of The Forest Weapons Guide (Early Access Version)
Sons Of The Forest is a survival game, meaning you’ll need weapons to get through the dangers of the game.
From the cannibals to even Sluggy and John 2.0, you’ll need guns. There’s a lot more in store arsenal-wise in this game than in the prequel The Forest, though you can just grab a nearby blunt object or even a severed limb if you’re out of ammo. Which will happen.
Sons Of The Forest offers more modern gameplay mechanics like a 3D printer that helps you craft, but nothing beats having a good weapon by your side. These are the weapons you can access in the Early Access build of Sons Of The Forest.
The crafted Axe makes a return from The Forest, and is just as handy as ever. You can kill things with it and chop down trees. You will need a better weapon as you progress through the story, but it’s still a handy melee weapon when you’re in a pinch.
Good for knocking back cannibals to make them prone.
One of the only ranged weapons you can get early on, you can craft the pistol by finding all of its parts scattered all across the map.
Packs a punch like any shotgun, but ammo is limited. Best to save it for big encounters.’
We weren’t kidding when we said this earlier: enemy body parts can be used as makeshift melee weapons against enemies if you’re out of ammo. Limbs, skulls, heads: nothing is sacred if you want to stay alive.
