Xenoblade Chronicles 3 OST Will Be Out This July; All Of It
You don’t have to hear Xenoblade Chronicles 3’s music through YouTube videos and 2022 features like mine anymore; you can now check it out legit in the coming months.
Composer group Procyon, led by legendary musician Yasunori Mitsuda, has announced the official Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Original Soundtrack, which will be out on 29th July. The OST will contain 9 CDs of over 140 tracks (about 9 hours), including music from the additional story in Expansion Volume 4. This also means that the final Xenoblade 3 DLC will be out before that month; it’s the DLC featuring an adult Rex and Shulk fighting a rogue Alvis.
The OST’s Limited Edition and Regular Edition will feature a new illustration made specifically for the soundtrack by Masatsugu Saito, who was in charge of the game’s character design. The Limited Edition includes two 1/3 Scale Mini Replicas of the flutes used when recording the music, one of “Seishin no Fue” (Noah’s flute) and one of “Kishin no Fue” (Mio’s flute). Also included in the Limited Edition is a card featuring Masatsugu Saito’s new illustration with printed signatures of the composers on the back side.
The Limited Edition also includes an 80-page booklet, although many sections are only available in Japanese (please refer to the information below for more details). It also costs 16,800 yen (US$170+).
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 came out for Nintendo Switch last year; it’s one of the year’s best JRPGs in a long while due to its story, gameplay, and meaty side quests.
