Minecraft Legends: How To Get Lapis Lazuli & Prismarine, Two Of The Rarest Resources In The Game

Minecraft Legends is out now, and it’s a pretty solid action strategy title from the Mojang group and Blackbird Interactive. Whether you’re playing PvE or PvP with two other pals to team up with, Minecraft Legends is looking like a sleeper RTS hit for people who want more than just Dota or whatever legacy RTS they’re playing these days to reminisce the good old days.

In any case, resources are the key to Minecraft Legends. So here’s a quick guide on how to get the game’s more precious ones to build and power up your army.

Minecraft Legends: How To Get Lapis Lazuli

Out of all the resources in the game, Lapis Lazuli is the hardest to obtain. Why? Because it helps you summon more mobs to fight for your hero as it increases the limit you’re allowed to summon. Summoning mobs through spawn gates is cheap, but increasing your unit isn’t.

Here are the methods for getting Lapis Lazuli:

  • Open chests in villages you’ve saved. These give you 50 per chest.
  • Kill lots of Piglins. This is important in PvP multiplayer as they are neutral enemies you can engage as a resource of sorts.
  • Explore the map you’re given, and open chests that are hidden throughout the realm.

Minecraft Legends: How To Get Prismarine

Prismarine is also important as it helps you build the best base and army upgrades and help remove Netherrack that plagues the land (like Zerg creep, but working against you).

One surefire way to get Prismarine is to destroy Piglin bases and buildings. Yes, you have to go out of your fortress and venture forth to get this resource. You will need to scour the map, put marks on it to find Piglin bases, and then ransack them with your current army. Only then, you can upgrade your base and army, thus making you stronger against other enemies or even other players. You will need to recruit golems as they deal more damage to structures than other units.

Another way is to protect villages from Piglin invasions at night. If you keep the village fountain above 0% health, you’ll get a chest with Prismarine as a reward for saving it.

Minecraft Legends is out now for PC and Xbox consoles. For more on the game, check out our coverage.
