Extra EMEA Team Will Attend VALORANT Champions Thanks To Fnatic Winning Masters Tokyo

Fnatic’s triumph at the VCT Masters Tokyo has secured an additional spot for the entire EMEA region at the highly anticipated VALORANT Champions 2023.
Fnatic proved their dominance as the undisputed number one VALORANT team globally when they emerged victorious at the VCT Masters Tokyo this past Sunday. Their triumph in Japan adds another prestigious trophy to their already impressive collection, following their success at the VCT LOCK//IN event back in March.
With their triumph in Tokyo, EMEA, the winning region of Masters, now has the privilege of sending an extra team to the upcoming VALORANT Champions 2023. This exciting development means that not only the winner but also the runner-up of the forthcoming last-chance qualifier will secure coveted spots in the grand season-ending tournament.
Thanks to Fnatic’s outstanding performance during the LOCK//IN campaign, EMEA had the largest representation at VCT Masters Tokyo. However, the additional slot for the region went to Natus Vincere, who unfortunately finished at the bottom of the pack in Japan, suffering defeats at the hands of NRG and EDward Gaming.
It’s worth noting that Fnatic, Team Liquid, and FUT Esports have already earned their spots in VALORANT Champions 2023. The highly anticipated tournament is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles from 6–26 August.
The EMEA last-chance qualifier is set to occur in Berlin from 19–23 July. Unfortunately, the event will only feature six teams due to Team Vitality‘s withdrawal from the competition following the tragic loss of their team member, Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener.
