By Lewis "lickety" Larcombe|October 5, 2023|0 Comment
Word has come out that we can expect Silent Hill: Ascension to drop on 31 October. Halloween day is going to get a lot spookier!
Now, the folks behind this “interactive streaming series” had us wondering when it would finally see the light of day this year. But guess what? A little Google Play update on Monday may or may not have revealed a launch date before the official announcement, and it’s all systems go for a Halloween launch.
The update states that Silent Hill: Ascension is expected to be released at 9:00 PM (ET) and 6:00 PM (PT). This means that’s 9:00 AM on 1 November for us who follow Singapore’s time.
What makes this one interesting, you ask? Well, Genvid Technologies, the brains behind this spooky venture, promises a wild ride. It’s like a mashup of a streaming show and a video game, where you, yes you, get to steer the ship. You’ll be knee-deep in the woes of various characters from all over the globe, dealing with brand-new Silent Hill nightmares.
These creepy crawlies are lurking in the shadows, ready to make a meal out of folks, their kiddos, and even whole towns. Blame it on recent murders or long-buried guilt and fears—it’s all driving people into the abyss. Your choices will be the GPS on this immersive journey, leading you to moments of redemption, suffering, or straight-up damnation.
And get this, Silent Hill: Ascension isn’t your run-of-the-mill show. It’s got daily live story scenes that change based on what you and the audience decide. Talk about keeping you on your toes!
Silent Hill has a whole bag of tricks up its sleeve. Bloober Team is cooking up a Silent Hill 2 remake, Silent Hill Townfall is in the works at NoCode, and there’s even a brand-new tale set in 1960s Japan with Silent Hill F. Get ready for a hauntingly good time!
