Released in 2004, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door garnered significant acclaim from reviewers, achieving an impressive score of 87 on Metacritic. This recognition culminated in the game being honoured with the Console Role Playing Game of the Year award at the 8th Interactive Achievement Awards, currently referred to as the DICE Awards. The game’s delightful art style, captivating gameplay, and clever writing resonated with players, establishing it as a beloved choice among fans.
Paper Mario, is not the sole cult classic receiving a remake. Another game from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), titled Super Mario RPG, is currently being developed, with a release window slated on 17 November 2023. Fans may soon get to relive the nostalgic experience with enhanced graphics and gameplay.
