Expect Maps From Last Year’s Call of Duty To Return In Modern Warfare III
By Lewis Larcombe|November 2, 2023|0 Comment
Activision plans to reintroduce select multiplayer maps from Modern Warfare II into the upcoming Modern Warfare III. The new game, set for release next week, will include updated versions of all 16 launch maps from the 2009 predecessor.
In addition to these familiar maps, Modern Warfare III will introduce over 12 entirely new core 6v6 maps across its live seasons. The first three will debut with Season 1 in December. Activision has also announced intentions to add more maps from Modern Warfare II post-release, gradually making them available throughout the live seasons. The initial four, including Farm 18, Mercado, and Shoot House, will arrive shortly after launch in a designated playlist.
These revived maps will look identical to their appearance in Modern Warfare II but won’t support new Modern Warfare III modes like Cutthroat.
Scheduled for release on 10 November, Modern Warfare III serves as a direct sequel to Modern Warfare II. Sledgehammer leads the development in collaboration with Infinity Ward, while Treyarch oversees the Zombies mode.
Players who digitally pre-ordered or pre-purchased Modern Warfare III can access the game’s campaign starting on 2 November.
