Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising Adds Lucilius And Uma Musume Characters As DLC Characters
Cygames has announced several additions to its upcoming 2D fighting game Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, the next major update/sequel to a 2D fighting game we reviewed a few years ago.
The publisher has announced a new playable character in the fighting game: a fallen angel named Lucilius. He will be a main boss in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising’s third story quest, and a playable character later down the line. He will be the first character in the GBVS Rising Character Pass Part 1, which contains six upcoming DLC characters. He will be out in mid-January 2024, with others soon to follow throughout 2024.
In addition, Cygames will be adding in Uma Musume Pretty Derby characters (an anime about horse girls racing; Cygames’ biggest money-maker in the free-to-play gacha market). However, they will be presented only as avatars and playable characters in the game’s Grand Bruise minigames. These characters will be out as a set and include the following horse girls:
The Uma Musume pack for GBVS Rising will be out in 14 December and will cost US$9.99.
Cygames also announced GBVS Rising’s post-launch updates. And yes, the game will have a Battle Pass system; the first one at launch will feature a new Narmaya Black Butterfly costume as a reward.
GBVS Rising will be out on 14 December for PC, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. For more on this, do check out the high-level play of the upcoming 2D fighting game featuring new characters Grimnir and Nier. You can even check out Lucilius’ gameplay in the story trailer below.
